Lauren Rogers is native of Spartanburg and  graduated from Spartanburg High School and attended USC Upstate. Lauren has held various professional positions, but in 2013 developed an interest in the process of economic and land development.

In late 2015, Lauren went through a transition that catapulted her into the real estate development and construction field. In August 2016, she journeyed to Rhode Island to work for a Real Estate Development and Construction non-profit as an Assistant Project Manager which is where she discovered her passion for the construction process. Only there for a short period of time, Lauren came back home to continue what she had started in Rhode Island.

In April 2018, Lauren started her own construction firm IB Industries, LLC which is named after her grandfather Izell Black who owned his own masonry business for 39 years. As an only child and grandchild, it is very important to Lauren to build a legacy that has been started by her family.
