Buck Bagwell grew up in the Carolinas and has lived in Spartanburg, SC since 2018 with his wife, Niki, and their four kids: Millie, Louis, Winnie, and Birdie. The Bagwells are active in the Spartanburg community where they’ve volunteered in various capacities in support of Habitat for Humanity, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Pine Street Elementary School, and the Spartanburg Humane Society. Buck has served on the Habitat Spartanburg Board since 2023 and is eager to help Habitat fulfill its mission of providing an opportunity for homeownership to more families in the Spartanburg community.
Buck is an investment professional at WJ Partners, a private investment firm based in Spartanburg seeking to make control investments in lower middle-market businesses with significant growth opportunities. At WJ Partners, he is responsible for sourcing new opportunities, executing investments, and portfolio support. Prior to joining WJ Partners, he spent four years at Deloitte in its M&A Advisory practice and completed a one-year fellowship at the Financial Standards Accounting Board. Buck graduated with high honors from Brigham Young University with a BS and MA in Accounting and earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business as a Wallman Scholar.
