First Presbyterian Church is a faithful, long-time supporter of Habitat Spartanburg contributing almost $800,000 toward Habitat builds during a relationship that spans almost 32 years.
First Presbyterian Church raised the walls on the latest build on Thursday, Feb. 21 on a Salem Street build site, just adjacent to the Billy L. Painter Memorial Habitat Home.
The church is the lone sponsor of the home at the $70,000 level. Cherelle Beam, a single mother of one daughter, will be the future homeowner.
The site, located at 123 Salem St., is an ideal site situated just on the fringe of the Duncan Park neighborhood.
Habitat Spartanburg is incredibly grateful to First Presbyterian congregants for their support, also demonstrated with volunteers. A faithful group of volunteers from First Presbyterian Church works every Monday morning in the ReStore, preparing the thrift store for business for the following week and working on to-do projects.
You do not have to be a member of First Presbyterian Church to volunteer on this project. No volunteer experience needed. Call our Volunteer Coordinator at 864.707.0230 to schedule a time slot.
